Choose a yellow based concealer if your dark circles are blue tinged. Use peachy based concealer if they are brown or yellow. Make sure to choose lighter shade of yellow based concealer than your skin tone. The use of concealer gives you instant relief from dark circles. So to instantly hide your dark circles go for creamy formulas of concealer. The creamy concealer will not settle in fine lines and glides over your skin making it look more smooth and free from dark circles.
If you are choosing a dry powdery product to apply under eyes, you are making worst mistake. A light creamy concealer will work best as it settles down in your fine lines. You can also pick shimmery cream. For the reflection of light below your eyes, prime shimmer based cream. After application of cream and concealer, apply a thin layer of powder to keep the look more natural.
Most of time, people use foundation and heavy base to hide imperfections from the face. You can use your foundation as concealer. If you are applying liquid foundation, squeeze it on your palm and let it oxidize. The cream will become more concentrated after oxidation and it will easy for you to use your foundation as concealer.
People apply concealer under the entire eye. But it’s not the right way to apply concealer to hide the dark circles. Experts advise to apply concealer exactly where you have dark circles instead of below entire eye. The place where you have to apply concealer is typically a semi circle that ranges from interior of the eye to the cheeks. Gently apply it with your finger or soft brush. It is up to you what brush you choose for the application of concealer. While applying concealer on the dark circles don’t ignore innermost corners of the eyes where dark shade is also appeared.
When you are getting ready and applying foundation, face powder and other products then you may be confuse that when to apply concealer on the dark circles. The best time to apply concealer is after application of eye makeup and foundation. Whatever you apply below your eyes to hide dark circles blend it gently. A nice blending of products is the key to get smooth look.
Apply dark brown or black liner to upper lash line. To make your eyes look open and brighten your whole face, apply neutral shimmery eye shadow to your lids. Apply two coats of mascara to upper lashes only. Go for mascara that is water proof to prevent increase in dark circles caused by smudging.
Here are some other ways also to prevent and hide dark circles. Don’t use eye cream moisturizer before going to bed. Steer clear of salt, alcohol and caffeine to prevent puffiness before the night of important event. It is vital to take proper sleep of eight hours to get rid of puffy eyes and eye bags. Drink maximum water to keep the skin fresh and to get rid of dark circles.
